The unit of a bank or holding company that takes care of handling all transactions performed by the operational units (front office).

Forecast of cost and income trends of a firm in some future period.

Methodology used to create a new balance sheet upon the merger of two companies; consists of a summary of the various classes of activity and passivity of the two companies.
In this way any eventual overpayment incurred in the acquisition of the acquired company is not reflected in the final balance sheet.
